How UK immigration help is regulated

Only regulated professionals — checked against public registers

It is a criminal offence in the UK to give immigration advice for a fee without being regulated. SSorted introduces only professionals we have verified against the appropriate public register.

IAA (formerly OISC)

· Advisers

Immigration Advice Authority. Regulates non-lawyer advisers at Levels 1–3. Level 3 covers complex casework including appeals.

Frequently asked questions

Is SSorted a law firm?

No. SSorted is an introduction service. We publish general information and match enquirers with regulated immigration professionals (SRA solicitors, IAA-registered advisers, CILEx lawyers, or Law Society members in Scotland/Northern Ireland).

Do you charge to make an enquiry?

No. Enquiring through SSorted is free. Any fees you agree with the professional you instruct are between you and that firm.

How do you verify professionals?

We check each professional against the appropriate public register (IAA, SRA, CILEx, Law Society) before onboarding and re-verify at renewal. Regulation status is a hard requirement.

Can you guarantee my application will succeed?

No — nobody credible can. Any professional who guarantees an outcome is a red flag. Success depends on your evidence and current Home Office decision-making.
